Divided Community Tank

(The First Tank Guide)

This community aquarium is divided to reduce the risk of the Betta on the right side attacking the dwarf Gourami, platy, or Ryukin goldfish on the left. It should be noted that goldfish, a temperate water fish, really should not be kept with these others who are all tropical. The temperature differences can cause problems. Also, this tank would probably look better if there were a background on the tank - which would also make the fish more comfortable.

"You have reminded me that it takes time and patience and if it ain't broke don't try fix it. Thank you for that. Your articles are well written, and for me just reconfirmed what I already know to be the best way to keep fish. I wish you good luck in anything you may do in the future."

"I'm so glad to have found info that makes sense and isn't laden with hysteria over fish abuse in cases of cycling with fish."
