Corydoras paleatus

This peppered cory cat, most likely C. paleatus, is an interesting and entertaining addition to most tropical community tanks. Cory catfish like this usually do all right on their own, though they are a schooling fish.

"I had a question about pH levels but I put a search in Google and found you page. I'm so glad I did because it saved my from probably killing fish. I was ready to go out and buy all kinds of chemicals and start using them. Other websites put me in panic mode thinking if everything wasn't just right my fish would die.
I plan on reading your whole website now. I just started this hobby and it has been stressful with all the worry. Your site has helped me get back my common sense and not worry so much. If I do well with the 16 gallon I hope to one day start a saltwater aquarium.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your site."
